Flat mushrooms: mushrooms, garlic, butter (milk), rosemary

Vine plum tomato: tomato, garlic, butter (milk), rosemary

Peppercorn sauce: red wine (sulphites), brandy, shallots, beef stock (celery), peppercorns, cream (milk)

Chef's Top Tip: 

Why not add a sprig of rosemary and a clove of garlic to the frying pan when cooking the steak, and at the last minute, add a knob of butter to give some extra richness. Once cooked, always leave the meat to rest to allow it to relax before serving”.

Cooking instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 180c / 160c (fan) / gas mark 4
  2. Remove the steaks from the packaging and allow to come to room temperature
  3. Remove the triple-cooked chips from the bag and place onto a baking tray/earthenware dish and place in the oven for 20-30 mins
  4. After 20 mins, place mushrooms and tomato on a baking tray and cook in the oven for 10 mins
  5. Pour the peppercorn sauce into a saucepan and bring to boil on a medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once boiling, turn down heat and keep simmering
  6. Season the steaks generously all over with fine salt and pepper 
  7. Heat 1 tbsp. of sunflower oil in a large frying pan over a high heat
  8. Cook the steak to your liking following the recommended times:

Rare: 1-2 mins per side, rest for 6 mins 

Medium: 3 mins per side, rest for 4 mins

Well done: 4-5 mins per side, rest for 1 min 

  1. Take the bag containing the broccoli, pierce it slightly and reheat in your microwave for 2-3 mins until hot. Leave to stand for 1 min. Alternatively you can place the bag containing the vegetables into a pan of simmering water for 6-8 mins until hot (if using the water method do not pierce the bag)
  2. Serve the steak, vegetables and potato either on a serving platter or onto individual plates
  3. Pour sauce into a serving jug and enjoy

 If you wish to heat up the food using another method that you feel more comfortable with then please use that method.

Rare - 50°C (122°F)

Medium rare - 55°C (131°F)

Medium - 60°C (140°F)

Medium well - 65°C (149°F)

Well done - 70°C (158°F)
